Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: Somerset
Live Urgent Care is looking for a Per-Diem X-Ray Technician.We offer our employees a great workplace environment as well as competitive pay ($39-$44/hour) and benefits (401k with match).
Shifts: Per Diem employees have the freedom to work as little or as much as they would like. We are open Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. This is a good fit if you would like to work as little as 4 hours per shift or full 12 hour shifts. Below are a sample of shifts available:
- 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (4 hours)
- 8:00 AM-2:00 PM (6 hours)
- 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (6 hours)
- 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (8 hours)
- 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (8 hours)
- 8:00 AM-6:00 PM (10 hours)
- 8:00 AM-8:00 PM (12 hours)
- Self-Scheduling
- Weekends are optional and not required
The ideal candidate must have at least 1 years’ experience in an urgent care setting and/or another similar medical facility. The ideal candidate almost has good computer knowledge, great organizational skills, attention to detail, positive attitude, and a team player.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- Verifying patients’ identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
- Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians written orders.
- Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering any questions they may have.
- Positioning patients, accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
- Limiting patients’ exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed
- Ensuring the x-ray equipment is good working order.
- Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
- Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
- Willing and able to perform front desk duties.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 1 years: combined education/experience
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

- Explaining procedures to patients
